Editorial design and branding:
Austin American-Statesman, 2016 rebrand

These pages represent art direction, branding and design for the Austin American-Statesman and Cox Media Group’s rebrand in 2016. As the design lead for this project, I worked with a team of designers in Cox Media Group’s four major markets for a design approach that would work for streamlined operations and was influenced by market research in all four markets (Dayton Daily News, Austin American-Statesman, Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Palm Beach Post). This project also involved training and providing brand guides to be used by designers in a hub system.

The following gallery represents art direction, content development and prototype design for Cox Media Group. This project was to test an 8- to 10-page daily section for all markets that would encapsulate the best of national and world coverage with a mix of briefs and deeper dives that went beyond the headlines.

Miscellaneous design

The following gallery represents art direction, branding, design, logo design and iconography during 2001 to 2020. In addition, environmental and logo design work for the revamped Austin360 Amphitheater in Austin. Other aspects include art direction and design for two 300+ page design books, a series of concert posters and miscellaneous logos.
